5. Radio Usage Procedures

8. Emergency Procedures

  1. Begin transmission with β€œPRIORITY” or β€œEMERGENCY TRAFFIC”
  2. Provide:
    • Callsign / Identifier
    • Nature of emergency
    • Location
    • Assistance required
  3. Cease non-emergency transmissions immediately
  4. Submit a brief incident report after the emergency

9. Incident Reporting

  • Report equipment faults, interference, misuse, or emergencies promptly
  • Include date, time, location, personnel involved, and actions taken
  • All logs must be kept for at least 12 months

10. Maintenance Checks

  • Daily: Verify repeater and gateway status; log irregularities
  • Weekly: Inspect antennas, cabling, backup power; test audio quality
  • Monthly: Full system tests; firmware/software updates; update logs

Only authorized technical personnel may perform maintenance on repeaters & gateways.

11. Operational Guidelines

13. Maintenance Schedules

  • Monthly: Full system tests; software updates; update logs

Performed only by authorized technical personnel on repeaters & gateways.
